Itinerary Details
Today you will make your own way to your selected gateway Airport for your international flight to Shiraz, Iran. Embark on an inspirational journey through Persia and discover this country's deep and rich history and its archeological wonders. Upon arrival at Shiraz International Airport, meet and greet by an BePersia Travel local guide and be transferred to your pre-booked hotel in the heart of Shiraz. You will have time to refresh before commencing on an enthralling tour of this city brimming with Persian literature, culture, and history on the following day.
You will take a beautiful day of sightseeing to explore both the past and present of Shiraz today. In this charming city with exciting sites to visit, you will first visit the Tomb of the Persian Poet Hafez with its flower-filled gardens. Next, you will have time to explore and shop in the bustling Vakil Grand Bazaar. Before leaving the Bazaar, sample the local Saffron ice cream and the Shirazi Faloodeh. It is a delicious combination of rice noodles, iced rosewater, and sugar, and then mixed with a touch of lemon juice. The afternoon will be devoted to discovering the colorfully decorated Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque (the Pink Mosque), where sunlight streaming through its colored glasses and windows. Next up is an interesting visit to the Eram Garden (UNESCO World Heritage Site), an architectural marvel from the Qajar era and a precious gem among all the typical Persian Gardens in Shiraz with its sour orange and palm trees. Time permitting; the rest of the afternoon, you will visit Hamzeh Shrine, a revered Shia shrine noted for the glittering mirror work adorning its central dome. After admiring the landmarks of Shiraz, you will be transferred to your hotel.
You will leave the charming city of Shiraz behind and drive to Yazd. This memorable day takes you first to three incredible Persian highlights. Your guide will lead you through 2500 years of Persian history, Persepolis (UNESCO World Heritage Site), that was once the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. Darius the Great founded this palatial complex in the 6th century BC. You can pass through all palaces there in Persepolis and immerse yourself in millennia of history and the tunnel of time. Later you proceed to Naghshe Rostam, the ancient Achaemenid Necropolis and Sassanian Rock Relief. Then, you proceed to Pasargadae (UNESCO World Heritage Site) that was once the first capital city of the Achaemenid Empire, and Cyrus, the Great King of the Achaemenes, built this palatial complex in the sixth century BC. After admiring today's highlight, you will continue driving to Yazd. In the late afternoon, continue to Yazd and checking in to your hotel.
This wonderful day is devoted to the exploration of one of the most alluring cities in Persia. The awesome desert city of Yazd is renowned for its unique desert architecture, regarded by UNESCO as one of the ancient towns on Earth, perfectly adapted to the harsh weather conditions of the surrounding desert. The Zoroastrian religion also survives in here where you visit the temple of Eternal Fire. Afterward, you set out for the old Towers of Silence on the edge of the city, where in the last centuries, the bodies of deceased Zoroastrians were placed and exposed to scavenger birds, which as per their beliefs, is the most sacred method of dealing with the dead. Next up is the Amir Chakhmaq Complex, where you will admire an awe-inspiring and prominent landmark comprising of a large square, a caravanserai, a mosque, a water reservoir, several wind catchers, and a portal for Shia religious gatherings and ceremonies. Yazd is also best known for its sweets and pastries. All Iranian and foreign visitors to this desert city must visit the local Haj Khalifa Confectionery next to the Amir Chakhmaq Square. Here, you can try the famous Iranian Baklava Pastries, Ghotab (Doughnut hole-shaped cookies), Lozenârgil (coconut diamonds), and Pashmak (cotton candy). Then in the old historical Fahadan District, you have the chance for a stroll through the winding alley of the Fahadan old town(UNESCO World Heritage Site). At the end of your today's adventuring, you will be transferred to the hotel to enjoy an evening at your leisure.
You start the day early and head out from Yazd on a pleasant drive west to the modern city of Isfahan. You are stopping off at the fascinating ancient city of Meybod along the way. Meybod offers some fascinating sites, including its 400-year-Old Caravanserai and The Old Town. Later you approach the city of Naein. This town is home to one of the oldest Friday Mosques in Iran; you wander through the complex, learning the meaning behind its different Sunni architectural elements. Then continue your trip to Isfahan. As the 17th-century capital of the Safavid Empire, Isfahan is for many may well be the climax of the journey. There is a lot to find out in this beautiful dazzling capital of Ancient Persia. In the afternoon, upon arrival in Isfahan, you can head out to wander around the Zayandeh River Bridges (Si-o-Se Pol and Khaju Bridges) that are the favorite meeting location for the locals.
This day is devoted to the exploration of the most glorious city of Iran, Isfahan. Following breakfast, your guide leads you for a fascinating sightseeing tour around the most brilliant tourist attractions of the city. Immerse in Isfahan sophisticated charms and discover the UNESCO heritage-listed Naghsh-e Jahan Square, the world's second-largest one with four amazing landmarks at four sides, Shah Mosque, the exquisite Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Ali Qapu Palace and Isfahan Grand Bazaar where you can visit the workshop of artists who paint miniature on camel bone. In the evening, enjoy visiting Chehel Sotun Palace Complex (UNESCO World Heritage Site); Shah Abbas II built this graceful pavilion in the 17th century for entertainment and court receptions. After a short break for tea and some sweets in one of the most beautiful tea houses, you take a relaxing walk through the Isfahan Grand Bazaar and explore elaborate conventional Persian handicrafts, artworks, and lovely souvenirs of the city.
Following breakfast, you start your journey on an exciting day-trip to Tehran, the capital city of Iran,. On a fantastic route, you will have the chance to visit Kashan, a beautiful town to visit the Fin Garden(UNESCO World Heritage Site), which is one of the most beautiful Persian Gardens date back to the 17th century. Then continue exploring the awe-inspiring House of Boroujerdiha. In the afternoon, you reach today's destination, Tehran, a divergent metropolis at the foot of the Elburz mountain range.
Welcome to the Iranian capital city, Tehran. A megacity that generously steeped in history and standing as one of the largest cityscapes in the Middle East, where there is much to be discovered. Today, you will enjoy a full-day tour of Tehran, taking in the main sights of the city; this morning starts with a visit to the sumptuous Golestan Palace Complex (UNESCO World Heritage Site), where you will enjoy visiting a masterpiece of the Qajar era, embodying the perfect integration of Persian crafts and architecture with Western influences. Next, you will spend some time taking a stroll around the Tehran Grand Bazaar, which is located a few steps far from Golestan Palace, and it is one of the largest covered ones in the world. In the afternoon, you visit the National Museum of Iran, displaying the most impressive collection of prestigious relics and historical findings. The selection here presents the nation's rich history and civilization. On the same routing, you will stop enjoying visiting the Tabi'at (Nature) Bridge, which is the largest and the most beautiful pedestrian overpass built in the capital city. After this beautiful day in Tehran, you will return to your hotel with vivid memories.
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on a 3-hour drive onwards, a road with spectacular scenery heading northwest to Qazvin. This atmospheric city is best known as being the former capital of the Safavid dynasty for over forty years. Upon arrival in Qazvin, check in to your hotel and take a moment to freshen up. Then it is time to discover the city; you will head first to Jame Mosque of Qazvin, one of the oldest congregational Friday mosques in Iran, built initially during the 9th century. Next, leading to the Shrine of Shazdeh Hossein, which is believed to be the holiest burial place in the city. In the late afternoon, you will stroll through Qazvin local Bazaar to see a vast array of spices, produce, and herbs. Along the way, you will have chances to observe the local way of life in the Caravanserai of Sa'd al-Saltaneh, which is currently the most significant urban caravanserai complex in Iran. After today's tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the evening free.
Today you embark on a poignant journey through the picturesque landscape of Alborz mountain range to northern Iran. Your destination is the city of Bandar Anzali. En route, you will strike out for the quaint Masouleh Village, where the rooftops of one house are the pedestrian way of the houses above. The village is located in Gilan Province, nestled high on a densely forested mountainside about 60 kilometers inland from the Caspian Sea. The air here is fresh, but the weather is unpredictable, so be sure to bring a waterproof jacket, warm clothes, and walking shoes. After a leisurely-paced walking tour of beautiful Masouleh and Stroll through its streets to catch glimpses of local life and see how traditional handicrafts being made, you will make your way to Anzali, where you will arrive in the early evening and check into your hotel.
This morning, have an early breakfast and depart Anzali at 08:00. A pleasant, roughly 4-hour drive along the Caspian Sea on one side and picturesque mountain peaks on the other and through the mountainous and scenic Heiran Pass will bring you first the outstanding world heritage site of UNESCO in Ardebil. Here you admire the Sheikh Safi Al-Din Shrine Ensemble, the burial place of Safi al-Din Ardabili (1252–1334), the founder of the Safavid order of Sufism. Later you proceed to Sarein. This town is best known in Iran for its many natural mineral hot springs. This evening, after checking into your accommodation, the rest of the day is free to enjoy relaxing and unwinding in one of Sarein's spa resorts, if you believe in balneotherapy, the treatment of diseases through bathing in natural mineral hot springs.
This morning, you depart on a five-hour drive through mountainous areas adorned with peaks and deep gullies on our way to Tabriz which sits in the foothills of the Sahand Mountains. En route, you will also have the chance to make an excursion to Kandovan Village, where you will have an opportunity to experience a taste of rural life in Iran, sampling local cuisine, meeting local community members, and delving into local history. The extraordinary ancient Kandovan with its intriguing architecture is not only renowned for its scenic beauty, but also for its uniqueness that comes from the fact that the troglodyte homes are not just built on the mountain, they are carved into volcanic rock. The structures were formed out of volcanic ash and debris spewed during an eruption of Mount Sahand for thousands of years. Afterward, you will take a trail heading back to Tabriz, where you'll head straight to your hotel to check-in.
Upon to our arrival on Tabriz, the large and green city being once Iran's national capital, you will start with the UNESCO listed Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest in the Middle East that covers seven km2 with 24 separate Caravanserais and 22 Timches. After that, ready for a spectacular drive to the town of Jolfa on the Iranian side of the border between Iran and Nakhchivan, where you will visit Saint Stepanos Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the ancient, glorious church sitting on the margins of the hillside of the mountains. In the afternoon, return to the adventure of Tabriz and pay a visit to the Kabud Mosque, often known as the Blue Mosque, this magnificent landmark even after two 18th-century earthquakes, looks original and intact. It highlights the enduring artistic legacy of Iran's ancient dynasties. You will end the day by visiting Shah Golu Park with an artificial lake in the middle, being a beautiful place for afternoon strolls.
Today marks the end of your tour to Persia. You will be transferred to Tabriz international airport to catch your onward or homebound flight
